The Staunton chess pieces "Fischer" feature an elegant piece design and come with a knight that has proud nostrils and an upright stance. The base of the chess pieces bears the most mass, which makes the set have higher stability than other sets. The chess pieces are hand-carved and turned, felted and weighted, and made from high-quality boxwood and palisander wood. The set is suitable for tournament use and has a king height of 95 mm. Additionally, extra queens are included to allow for pawn promotion. Chessboards with a square size of 55-58 mm are recommended for use with these chess pieces.
